Quality for Change in Erasmus+ - Mobility of Youth Workers project

Bran, Romania2-8 Oct. 2021

Desert Bloom participated in a Quality for Change in Erasmus+ - Mobility of Youth Workers project organized by Asociatia Euvolume Romania and funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The main gathering took place between 2nd and 8th of October in the beautiful city of Bran in Romania.

The main goal of the project was to share experiences, knowledge and good practices for creating and managing socio-educational activities that support unemployed young people.  The target group is those young people who stay unemployed and do not receive education or vocational training (so called NEETs - not in employment, education or training). The aim was to achieve the highest possible impact for them and their local communities.

Thirty four participants from 10 countries, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Jordan, Lithuania, Montenegro, Palestine, Portugal, Romania and Turkey, had a chance to share their country's statistics related to young people representing the NEET group and exchange good practices to improve these people. After analyzing data and information on national and European strategies for NEETs, it was possible to introduce a measurable and quality methodology for youth workers that will contribute to the capacity building of the participants’ organisations. The other objectives of the project included designing a booklet with good practice and a recommendation document with specific suggestions for youth organizations in order to make use of all the accessible programs and resources to face the needs of NEET groups and develop innovative, solution-based tools available to all youth workers.
